Residency not in training

 

The CSG continuously works with residents not in training who typically stay with the CSG for a period of 1 year

(with a possibility ranging from 6 monts to 2 years).

Due to our academical ties, working at the CSG has proven to be a good stepping stone to get into official surgical and other training programs.

 

 

In the period at our department the resident gets a broad exposure to general surgery, ranging from difficult oncology to modern surgical techniques such as advanced laparoscopy, extensive trauma care to vast presentation of diabetic and nephopatic disease.

The work environment is very team friendly and very involved with direct patientcare, during surgery and on the surgical ward.

 

Of course after working hours,there is enough to do in the Caribbean...
